India, May 14 -- A youth allegedly ended his life in the Baliapatna area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswa city today over his father's liquor addiction.

The deceased has been identified as Shiv Prasad Sahu, son of Raj Kishore Sahu of Basantadihi village under Guapur panchayat in the Baliapatna area. He was a Plus Three Final-Year Arts student at Shishu Ananta Mahavidyalaya in Baliapatna.

According to reports, Shiv allegedly hanged himself inside his family's snack shop located at Mahavir Chhak in Turintira under Baliapatna police limits.
