India, March 15 -- At least 18 districts in Odisha may witness thunderstorm on March 16 (Monday), said the IMD on Sunday.

Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and hail along with gusty surface wind (speed reaching upto 50-60 kmph) is likely to occur at isolated places in Mayurbhanj district on March 16, predicted the IMD regional centre in its weather bulletin today. The MeT Department has issued an Orange warning in this regard.

As per the IMD prediction, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty surface wind (speed reaching upto 40-50 kmph) may occur in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati district on Monday.
