India, March 16 -- A student of Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) University in Bhubaneswar went missing in the Puri sea while taking a bath on Sunday.

The missing student has been identified as Animesh Sa, a second-year BTech Computer Science student at SOA University.

According to reports, Animesh had come to Puri with his friends and was bathing in the sea near a hotel on the beach. During the bath, he was reportedly caught in strong waves and swept into deep waters.

Lifeguards present at the beach immediately launched a search operation and ventured into the sea to locate him. However, the student remained untraced till the filing of this report.
