Snana Jatra of Lord Jagannath tomorrow; SJTA releases complete schedule for Snana Jatra, Ratha Jatra and Bahuda Jatra
India, June 28 -- The sacred Snana Jatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will be observed on Monday, June 29, with the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) issuing the detailed schedule for the annual festival along with the timings for Ratha Jatra, Bahuda Jatra, and other key rituals.
Snana Jatra, celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Jyestha Purnima, popularly known as Debasnana Purnima, marks one of the most significant festivals in the Jagannath tradition. On this day, the sibling deities are ceremonially brought out to the Snana Mandap in a grand Pahandi procession and bathed with 108 pitchers of sacred water.
