India, May 14 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls will begin in Odisha from July 1, 2026, as part of Phase III of the nationwide exercise.Odisha Tourism Packages
According to a press note issued by the ECI, the SIR will be conducted in a phased manner across 16 states and three Union Territories. Odisha has been included in the phase.
The Commission stated that the schedule has been prepared keeping in view the common field machinery engaged in the ongoing Census house-listing exercise.
As per the schedule, July 1, 2026 has been fixed as the qualifying date for the revision process in Odisha.
