Seven children fall ill after lizard found in Anganwadi meal in Baleshwar
India, Aug. 4 -- In a disturbing incident, over seven children were hospitalised after a dead lizard was allegedly found in the food served at an Anganwadi centre in Baleshwar district. The affected children have been admitted to Simulia hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred at the Anganwadi centre in Badagahama village under Maitapur panchayat in Simulia block.
According to reports, the children were served their regular meal when one of them noticed something unusual while eating. Initially suspecting it to be a vegetable, the child checked closely and discovered it was a dead lizard in the food.
