India, Oct. 13 -- The first SPV, Lakadia II Power Transmission Limited, was handed over to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for the project titled "Transmission System for Integration of Power from RE Projects in Lakadia REZ in Gujarat - Phase II (7,500 MW)". The project includes a 765/400 kV Lakadia-II substation near Chitrod, two synchronous condensers and 765 kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Lakadia II with Halvad, Ahmedabad and Vataman. The associated transmission infrastructure is designed to support the evacuation of renewable electricity from Gujarat's renewable energy zone.
