Rape accused who escaped police custody in Odisha capital nabbed from Bengaluru
India, Aug. 7 -- A rape accused, who had allegedly escaped from the police custody in the Odisha capital here, was nabbed from Bengaluru.
A team of the Commissionerate Police captured accused Rudra Prasad Sutar in the Karnataka capital and produced him in a local court.
The accused was brought to the capital city from Bengaluru today.
The Mahila Police had arrested Sutar from Bhadrak on charges of raping a woman a few days ago. The police initiated action against him on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim.
However, the accused had managed to escape from the police custody while having his breakfast in the canteen. A complaint in this regard had been lodged with the Capital police.
