India, April 1 -- The Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested Bidyut Ranjan Bhol, Deputy Manager of the Sambalpur Division of the Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC), after he was found in possession of suspected ill-gotten cash and disproportionate assets.City & Local Guides

According to a Vigilance press release, Bhol was intercepted near Sambalpur Railway Station on Tuesday. During the operation, officials recovered Rs 5.18 lakh in cash from his possession, which he allegedly failed to account for satisfactorily. The entire amount was seized.

Following the interception, Vigilance teams carried out simultaneous searches at multiple locations linked to Bhol in Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar and Bhanjanagar.
