India, March 15 -- A 52-year-old man accused of killing three members of his family in Odisha's Deogarh district died late on Saturday night while undergoing treatment at VIMSAR in Burla after allegedly consuming poison to evade arrest.
The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Garia, a resident of Gariapali village under Kundheigola police limits in Reamal block.
According to reports, villagers on Saturday morning spotted Ramesh sitting atop a water tank, about 50 feet above the ground, in his village. After receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and asked him to come down. However, he refused.
