India, April 9 -- The state government has asked the Left-Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected districts in Odisha to ensure proper implementation of the Gramodaya scheme.

Revenue and Disaster Management Department Additional Chief Secretary Arabinda Kumar Padhee today wrote to the Collectors of 10 LWE-affected districts-Bargarh, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Rayagada.

It is worth mentioning here that the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, had launched the Gramodaya scheme in Odisha in 2024 to ensure that welfare programmes reach the people living in LWE-affected districts.
