India, March 31 -- In a move aimed at promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), the Odisha government has extended the deadline for disbursal of subsidies for EV purchases.

According to a notification issued by the Commerce and Transport Department, the validity of the Odisha Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021 has been extended till June 30, 2026.Odisha tourism guide

"In exercise of powers conferred under para 11.5 of the Odisha Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021, the Government has been pleased to extend the validity period of the said policy till June 30, 2026," the notification stated.

Earlier, the deadline for subsidy disbursal under the policy was set to end on March 31, 2026.
