India, March 17 -- Fear gripped locals after a two-year-old child died after a house wall collapsed during a wild elephant's attempt to access stored grain in Jaleswar block of Odisha's Balasore district on Monday. The incident took place at Jharana Sahi locality in Kendukhunta village which comes under Khuaad panchayat, late in the night.Preliminary reports suggested the family was asleep inside their home when the tragedy occured. The deceased minor was identified as Ram alias Narayan, one of the twin boys of Uddhab Besra. Besra, along with wife and five children, were resting when a stray tusker approached their house, reportedly in search of paddy stored inside.
