India, Aug. 7 -- The police in Odisha's Keonjhar district have arrested a former official of a private bank and his father on charges of misappropriating money from customers' accounts.

The accused have been identified as Jasprit Singh, the former Relationship Manager of the Barbil branch of the private bank, and his father Vikram Singh of the Mrinal Colony.

3 As per reports, Jasprit and his father had allegedly misappropriated over Rs 3 crore from the bank accounts of several customers.

The scam came to the fore after Anita Agrawal, a customer of the bank, lodged a complaint in this regard with Barbil police.
