India, July 3 -- Two persons were killed and five others, including three video journalists, were critically injured after a speeding truck ploughed into a crowd gathered at an accident site in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district today.

The incident took place at Palabani in Baripada town in the evening.

As per reports, a pick-up van carrying timbers overturned at Palabani in Baripada after the driver lost control over the vehicle.

Advertisement Soon, a group of local residents rushed to the accident site and tried to remove the pick-up van from the road. Some media persons, including video journalists, gathered at the spot to cover the mishap.
