India, May 21 -- The mortal remains of Odia youth A. Ramaya, who was killed in a drone attack in Moscow recently, were brought back to Odisha on Thursday.

The Ministry of the External Affairs and the state government facilitated the repatriation of the mortal remains of the Odia youth, said the Directorate of Odisha Paribar.

The youth, a native of Madhabandha village in Ganjam district, had been working in a company in Russia. He reportedly lost his life in a drone attack on May 17 amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

Following the incident, the deceased's family members had appealed to the state government for the repatriation of his mortal remains.
