Man dies after being thrashed by cops at Kabisuryanagar police station in Odisha's Ganjam
India, June 1 -- A 32-year-old man died after allegedly being thrashed by cops at the Kabisuryanagar police station in Odisha's Ganjam district late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Sushant Sahu, a resident of Subulia village under Kabisuryanagar police limits. According to family members, Sahu was picked up by police in connection with a case. He was allegedly subjected to severe physical assault at the police station.
As per allegations, Sushant worked at a local stone quarry where he was recently involved in a dispute. He was picked up by the police on May 25 in connection with the matter.
