India, Sept. 30 -- A man died after allegedly being brutally assaulted by security personnel at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha's Kataka, according to a complaint filed by his younger brother at the Malangabag police station.Odisha Travel Guide

The deceased has been identified as Srikanta Das. His younger brother, Binod Bihari Das, alleged that Srikanta was present on the SCB Medical College and Hospital premises on September 28, when he was cornered and severely beaten by hospital security personnel.

According to the complaint, Srikanta had consumed alcohol at the time of the incident.
