India, July 5 -- A low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal continued to bring widespread rainfall across Odisha, with Bhubaneswar receiving over 100 mm during the last 24 hours.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhubaneswar recorded 112.3 mm of rainfall between 8.30 am on July 4 and 5.30 am on July 5.

Other major rainfall figures recorded by the IMD include 64.6 mm in Chandbali, 55.7 mm in Puri, 41.4 mm in Balasore, 30.2 mm in Paradip, and 29.2 mm in Keonjhar.

For today, a Red Warning has been issued for Bargarh, Sambalpur and Nuapada districts, where heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall at one or two places is very likely.
