India, May 31 -- Heavy rainfall and hailstorm are very likely to occur in some districts of Odisha in the next two days, predicted the IMD on Sunday.As per the IMD prediction, some places in districts like Kandhamal, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore are likely to witness hailstorm and heavy rainfall on June 1 (Monday).

The MeT Department has issued a Red warning for Kandhamal and Gajapati while an Orange alert is in place for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore.

Hailstorm and heavy rainfall may lash some places Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Kandhamal on June 2 (Tuesday), said the IMD regional centre in its weather bulletin today.

The MeT Department has issued an Orange warning in this regard.
