Former Panchayat Secretary convicted in Vigilance misappropriation case in Odisha's Sundargarh
India, May 22 -- The Court of the Learned Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh on Friday convicted a former Panchayat Secretary in a corruption and misappropriation case registered by the Vigilance department more than two decades ago.Odisha Travel Guide
The convicted accused has been identified as Alexander Ekka (66), former Panchayat Secretary of Jodakudar Gram Panchayat under Lathikata Block in Sundargarh district. He is currently residing at Buchahanda village under Brahmanitarang police limits.
The conviction was pronounced in CTR Case No. 41/17 of 2004-16 arising out of Sambalpur Vigilance Police Station Case No. 19 dated May 21, 2004.
