India, Sept. 26 -- A depression over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining north Chhattisgarh continued to move north-northwestwards on Saturday, while several parts of Odisha recorded heavy to very heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Depression Update The depression moved north-northwestwards at a speed of 13 kmph during the past six hours and lay centred at 8:30 am IST on September 26 over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas, near latitude 23.8N and longitude 81.6E.

The system was located around 70 km south-southwest of Sidhi, 90 km south-southeast of Rewa and 120 km southeast of Satna in Madhya Pradesh. It was also about 180 km south of Prayagraj and 250 km south-southeast of Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh.
