India, April 8 -- A tragic accident claimed the life of a CRPF jawan at a camp located in the Saranda forest under Jaraikela police limits in Odisha's Sundargarh district.Odisha tourism The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, a constable of the CoBRA 210 Battalion. The incident occurred late Tuesday night at the Babudera CRPF camp when Kumar was resting inside.

According to initial reports, a large tree suddenly collapsed onto the camp, striking Kumar on the head and leaving him critically injured.

Fellow personnel immediately rushed him to a hospital in Ranchi for treatment. Doctors initiated emergency care upon his arrival, but he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
