India, Sept. 27 -- A local court here has issued an arrest warrant against Boudh MLA Saroj Kumar Pradhan in connection with a case regarding the alleged submission of a false affidavit during the 2024 Assembly elections.

Former Boudh MLA Pradip Kumar Amat had filed a case before the SDJM court in Boudh, alleging that Pradhan submitted a false affidavit during the polls. The court subsequently took cognisance of the case and registered it for hearing.

The court had issued a notice directing Pradhan to appear before it and present his side in the matter. Challenging the court's direction, Pradhan approached the Orissa High Court, which granted him 12 weeks of time.Odisha Politics Updates
