India, May 15 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a 2 per cent hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for the state government employees.

With this hike, the DA for the state government employees has gone up to 60 per cent from the existing 58 per cent, said the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) in a statement today.

The DA hike will be implemented retrospectively from January 1 this year. The employees of the Odisha government will receive the hiked DA in cash along with their salaries for the month of May, added the CMO.

The state government has also announced a 2 per cent hike in the TI (Dearness Relief) for the pensioners. The pensioners will get the increased amount with their pensions for the month of May, stated ...
