India, Sept. 27 -- A 300-year-old two-storey building in Damodarpur area of Baleshwar district, which is believed to have historical links to noted Odia litterateur Fakir Mohan Senapati, partially collapsed following prolonged rainfall in the region.

According to reports, the old structure is believed to be the place where Fakir Mohan Senapati stayed and studied during his early years.

The building reportedly collapsed due to the impact of incessant rain. No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

The structure has been occupied by the family of Bachu Keshab Rao for generations.

While one portion of the building was still occupied, another section of the approximately 300-year-old structure collapsed.
