India, July 6 -- Due to incessant rainfall across Odisha, the water level of the Baitarani River may touch the danger level at Akhuapada in Bhadrak district, said Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari.

The state has received heavy rainfall ranging from 150 mm to 350 mm in various regions. However, the situation may improve tomorrow as there is no forecast for heavy rainfall, the minister said.

Pujari added that the water level in other rivers is not at a concerning level and there is no need to panic.

The Odisha government has warned of a possible minor flood situation in parts of Jajpur and Bhadrak districts as the water level in the Baitarani River continues to rise following above-normal rainfall across the state.
