India, Sept. 29 -- Odisha Vigilance has unearthed four multi-storey buildings, a three-BHK flat and 24 high-value plots during searches on properties linked to Umakant Samantaray, Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers, Sambalpur.

The searches were conducted following allegations that Samantaray possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to the Vigilance, the properties unearthed so far are registered in the name of Samantaray and his family members. The properties include a duplex measuring around 2,900 sq ft at Nandan Vihar on Nandankanan Road in Bhubaneswar.

Investigators also found a building measuring around 2,460 sq ft near Indus College of Engineering at Barakuda near Jatani in Bhubaneswar....
