India, March 19 -- An Assistant Teacher in Bhubaneswar has been placed under suspension for alleged negligence in carrying out duties related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll.

Teacher failed to perform BLO duties Rashmi Sahoo, posted at Government High School, Chandrasekharpur Phase-II, had been appointed as Booth Level Officer (BLO) for Booth No. 109 under Assembly Constituency No. 113. She was assigned responsibilities under the Representation of the People Act, 1950 and 1951 for the revision of electoral rolls.
