India, July 7 -- Three children were seriously injured after a portion of the roof plaster collapsed inside an Anganwadi centre at Kurlli village under Turekela block in Odisha's Balangir district on Tuesday.

The incident occurred while children were attending classes at the Anganwadi centre. A large chunk of plaster suddenly fell from the roof, hitting five children. Among them, one boy and two girls sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Kantabanji Hospital for treatment.

The victims suffered injuries to their heads, necks and hands. They are currently undergoing treatment.
