India, Oct. 25 -- In a shocking and disturbing incident, a three-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a neighbor in Keshpura village under the Jaleswar police limits in Odisha's Baleshwar district.

Despite a formal complaint being lodged a year ago, the victim's family alleges that police inaction has emboldened the accused, who is now threatening the family to withdraw the case.

Details of the incident According to the reports, the incident dates back to October 6, 2025, which coincided with the Gajalakshmi Puja festival. The victim's parents had traveled to Jaleswar for work. As their return was delayed, the three-year-old child and her brother went to a neighbor's house to make a phone call to their parents.
