India, June 23 -- In a startling incident, as many as 23 cobra hatchlings were rescued from a bedroom of a house in Chandukuda village under Jayantara panchayat in Dasarathpur block of Odisha's Jajpur district.

According to reports, the incident came to light when Gauranga Jena noticed a small snake moving inside his bedroom on Monday evening. When he attempted to drive it away, the snake raised its hood and tried to strike. Later, family members searched the room and spotted more snakes inside the house.

The family immediately informed Snake Helpline State Coordinator Pramod Sahu. Sahu, along with his associate Jahangir Khan, reached the spot and carried out an extensive search. They rescued 23 cobra hatchlings from the room. Several ...
