India, Oct. 2 -- Despite the uncertainties in the Middle East and distress in energy supply, early signs from the U.S. Futures Index suggest that Wall Street might open higher on Friday.
Oil prices tumbled on Friday while gold edged up slightly. Brent crude futures fell 3.3 percent to $98.97 a barrel. WTI crude futures were down 4.1 percent at $89.06 a barrel.
Gold edged up slightly on Friday. Brent crude futures fell more than 3 percent toward $99 a barrel. Spot gold edged up 0.2 percent to $4,185.82 an ounce but was on course for its second straight weekly decline. U.S. gold futures were up 0.3 percent at $4,214.47 an ounce.
Asian shares finished mixed, while European shares are trading higher.
