India, April 15 -- The major U.S. index futures are currently pointing to a roughly flat open on Wednesday, with stocks likely to show a lack of direction in early trading following the rally seen over the two previous sessions.

Traders may be reluctant to make significant moves following the two-day surge, which lifted the Nasdaq and the S&P 500 to their best closing levels in over two months.
