India, June 14 -- The Thai stock market has finished higher in back-to-back sessions, gathering almost 30 points or 2 percent along the way. The Stock Exchange of Thailand now sits just above the 1,590-point plateau and it's got a solid lead for Monday's trade. The global forecast for the Asian markets is cautiously optimistic on hopes for an end to the conflict in the Middle East. The European and U.S. markets were up and the Asian bourses are expected to open in similar fashion.

The SET finished sharply higher on Friday following gains from the food, finance, property, service and technology sectors. For the day, the index climbed 20.09 points or 1.28 percent to finish at 1,592.41 after trading between 1,582.26 and 1,595.84. Volume was 1...
