India, Sept. 14 -- Treasuries extended their recent downward trend in early trading on Monday but showed a notable turnaround over the course of the session.

Bond prices climbed well off their early lows and into positive territory. Subsequently, the yield on the benchmark ten-year note, which moves opposite of its price, dipped 1.4 basis points to 4.961 percent.

Early in the day, the ten-year yield rose as high as 5.012 percent, climbing above 5 percent for the first time since October 2023.
