India, Sept. 15 -- Tempest Therapeutics (TPST), a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing in vivo CAR-T therapies for cancer and autoimmune disease, announced an exclusive option agreement with Hebei Senlang Biotechnology to license a CD7-targeted lentiviral vector platform and related in vivo CAR-T candidates.
The agreement gives Tempest access to a platform designed to generate CAR-T and CAR-NK cells directly inside patients by delivering CAR transgenes to endogenous CD7-positive T cells and natural killer cells. Unlike conventional autologous CAR-T therapies, the approach is designed to avoid individualized cell collection and manufacturing outside the body.
