Taiwan Jobless Rate Rises Slightly To 3.33%

India, July 22 -- The unemployment rate in Taiwan barely changed at the end of the second quarter, the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics reported Wednesday.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate came in at 3.33 percent in June, up marginally from 3.32 percent in May. In the same period last year, the rate was 3.35 percent.

On an unadjusted basis, the jobless rate rose to a 3-month high of 3.34 percent in June from 3.27 percent in the previous month. Unemployment increased by 9,000 from the previous year to 402,000.
