India, Aug. 6 -- Synaptics Inc. (SYNA) on Thursday reported a wider net loss for the fourth quarter, hurt largely by a non-cash charge. Adjusted earnings increased from the prior year, while revenue grew 9 percent on continued strength in its Core IoT business.
Net loss for the quarter was $447.4 million or $11.53 per share, compared with a net loss of $4.7 million or $0.12 per share in the prior-year period.
The results include a $425.3 million non-cash tax expense for the three months and year ended June 2026 related to the establishment of a full valuation allowance against U.S. deferred tax assets.
Adjusted income was $50.1 million or $1.23 per share, up from $39.5 million or $1.01 per share last year.
