India, July 25 -- Universal Pictures announced earlier this week that the Snoop Dogg biopic, Snoop, will arrive in theaters on August 6, 2027.
According to a press release the film is the "definitive biopic" of Snoop Dogg (born Calvin Broadus). "Outer Banks" star Jonathan Daviss will portray the legendary rapper in the biopic, which will be directed by Hustle & Flow's Craig Brewer.
The Snoop Dogg biopic project is based on Brewer's rewrite of Joe Robert Cole's original script
It's not yet known if the biopic will focus on a specific era of the iconic musician's career or chronicle his entire life.
