India, Aug. 4 -- SIG plc (SHI.L) on Tuesday reported a narrower loss for the first half of fiscal 2026.
Total loss after tax for the period narrowed to 21.4 million pounds or 1.9 pence per share from 34.4 million pounds or 3.0 pence per share. Loss before tax improved to 21.6 million pounds from 33.1 million pounds last year.
Underlying loss widened to 16.9 million pounds from 11.4 million pounds, and underlying loss per share increased to 1.5 pence from 1.0 pence.
For the first six months of 2026, underlying operating profit declined to 10.5 million pounds from 15.4 million pounds a year earlier, while underlying operating margin narrowed to 0.8% from 1.2%.
