India, Sept. 7 -- Santam Ltd (SNT.JO) released a profit for its first half that Increases, from the same period last year

The company's earnings totaled ZAR2.192 billion, or ZAR0.01991 per share. This compares with ZAR2.045 billion, or ZAR0.01855 per share, last year.

Excluding items, Santam Ltd reported adjusted earnings of ZAR2.192 billion or ZAR0.01991 per share for the period.

The company's revenue for the period rose 1.7% to ZAR27.956 billion from ZAR27.497 billion last year.
