India, Sept. 16 -- Sanofi (SNY) announced the inauguration of the Charles Best Building, a new influenza vaccine manufacturing facility in Toronto, Canada, following a C$925 million investment to expand the country's domestic vaccine manufacturing capacity.
The facility will manufacture Fluzone High-Dose, Sanofi's influenza vaccine indicated for adults 65 years of age and older.
The expansion was developed in partnership with the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario and the City of Toronto and is intended to strengthen Canada's vaccine biomanufacturing capabilities and preparedness for future influenza pandemics.
