India, Aug. 3 -- S-Oil Corp. (010950.KS), a petroleum and refinery company, reported Monday an operating profit in its second quarter, compared to prior year's loss, with strong sales growth. Sequentially, profit declined from the preceding first quarter.
The shares were losing around 4.95 percent on the Korean stock exchange, trading at 121,000.00 won.
In the quarter, operating income was 965.02 billion won, compared to loss of 343.97 billion won a year ago. Sequentially, profit dropped 21.6 percent.
Net income attributable to shareholders of parent company was 514.58 billion won, compared to prior year's loss of 66.78 billion won. Profit fell 28.6 percent from the first quarter.
