India, June 24 -- Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brilliant brace to set a number of FIFA World Cup records and get Portugal's campaign up and running Tuesday.

By opening the scoring in the 6th minute of the Group K match against Uzbekistan in Houston, the 41-year-old football legend became the first player to score in six World Cups and the second-oldest scorer in tournament history behind Cameroon's Roger Milla.

Ronaldo, who struggled in the opener against Congo DR, was in full form on Tuesday. The veteran netted his second with a well-taken strike into the corner just before half-time for his 10th World Cup goal. With this, he became Portugal's leading scorer in the tournament history, ahead of the legendary Eusebio.
