India, Oct. 2 -- Romania's producer price inflation accelerated in August after easing in the previous month, data from the National Institute of Statistics showed on Friday.
The producer price index climbed 11.8 percent yearly in August, faster than the 8.8 percent increase in July, which was the slowest growth in four months. Prices have been rising since August 2025.
The price index for the energy industry surged 20.3 percent annually in August, and those for intermediate goods were 10.9 percent more expensive. Prices for capital goods rose 5.9 percent, and an increase in the non-durable consumer goods industry was 5.3 percent.
