India, Oct. 15 -- Recursion Pharmaceuticals Inc. (RXRX) announced Thursday that Sanofi (SNY) has selected the first development candidate under their research collaboration, triggering a $10 million milestone payment to Recursion.
The collaboration, originally established in January 2022, focuses on discovering small-molecule drug candidates using artificial intelligence (AI)-driven drug discovery technologies. The agreement initially targeted up to 15 programs across oncology and immunology.
The selected candidate is a potential first-in-class oral small molecule designed to selectively inhibit two targets implicated in inflammatory diseases.
