India, March 23 -- The South Korea stock market has finished lower in two of three trading days since the end of the three-day winning streak in which it had surged more than 430 points or 7.8 percent. The KOSPI now sits just above the 5,400-point plateau although it's expected to bounce higher again on Tuesday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is upbeat as tensions in the Middle East take a slight breather. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets are expected to follow the latter lead.
The KOSPI finished with huge losses on Monday with damage in every sector, although the financials, industrials and technology stocks were hit especially hard.
