India, Oct. 18 -- Propanc Biopharma Inc. (PPCB), a biopharmaceutical company, on Friday announced preclinical data for a formulation of pancreatic pro-enzymes (PRP) in treating pancreatic and ovarian cancer.
Propanc's proprietary ratio of pancreatic proenzymes consists of a 1:6 combination of Trypsinogen to Chymotrypsinogen A.
A preclinical study was conducted by the Universities of Jaen and Granada on the function of PRP in preventing chemotherapy resistance, led by Dr. Maria Belen Toledo.
Results suggest that PRP is capable of remodeling resistant states of tumor cells to improve the effectiveness of chemotherapy. Trials utilized cellular analyses and transcriptome-wide profiling pancreatic cell models exhibiting resistance.
