India, Sept. 22 -- Polyrizon Ltd. (PLRZ), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, on Tuesday announced the enrollment of the first patient in a clinical study assessing NASARIX to treat seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR).
NASARIX (PL-14) is a proprietary nasal spray that creates a protective barrier within the nasal cavity to shield the inner mucosa from inhaled allergens. The non-pharmacological, drug-adhesive, mucoadhesive hydrogel nasal spray is Polyrizon's lead investigational allergy blocker.
The prospective trial is a multicenter, randomized, single-blind, two-arm study that plans to enroll 120 patients across 5 clinical testing sites in the U.S. The placebo used will be a saline nasal spray comparator.
